Beauty of Mussoorie lies in all of its air
Mussoorie is a hill station in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 1880 meters. This place derives its name from the shrub “mansoor” that grow in large number of quantities over here. With its varied flora and fauna, counts as a fantastic hill resort. It also has the premier training institute of Indian Armed Forces and other civil services. The maximum temperature seen during summers is 30°C and the minimum is 10°C, whereas, the maximum temperature seen during winter is 10°C and the minimum being 1°C. The best time to visit the place is from March to June and September to November.

Mussoorie is situated on the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan ranges. It receives snowfall in winters and gives a perfect escape from the sultry summers. The beauty of the nature at its fullest is experienced here. Trekking, rock climbing and camping are most suited in the summers, for the winter seasons are spine chilling.

Extending from Cloud’s end in the west to the Rockville in the east, it offers all the shops and has main market. This place has a special charm of itself. It has Tibetan school and home, Municipal Garden and National Defense Administration.
It is 5km from the tourist office and mode of transportation that can be used is horse or foot. It is the highest peak of the place, giving the view of snow-clad mountains.
Gun Hill Point-
It stands as the second highest point of Mussoorie.
Kempty Falls, Bhatta Falls, Mossy Falls and Jharipani Falls are located at a distance of around 5 to 10 km.

There are rooms provided both on the mall road and rest houses. The budget hotels as well as luxury hotels are available. The rooms are available with geyser, air conditioners, Wi-Fi connection, room services, free breakfast, etc. The camping squares are also available. The rooms can be single-room, double-room, for group, honeymoon suites, etc.
Mussoorie lacks any kind of direct air connectivity. But one can take a route up to airport Jolly Grant in Dehradun. Also, the closest railway station from Mussoorie is Dehradun. From Dehradun, the mode of transportations that can be undertaken are bus, personal cab or if you are driving you can straight away take the road connecting Dehradun to Mussoorie.
