Vellore Fort:

This 16th century fort is situated right at the center of the city. It was built by the rulers of Vijaynagar and was once the headquarters of the mighty Aravidu Dynasty. The robust masonry, grand ramparts and the wide moat of the fort are what make it an architectural marvel. This fort was last held by the British during their reign and is since then managed and controlled by the Indian Government as a heritage site.

Opened in 1967, this zoological park is a natural wonder. John’s Church:

This is also situated inside the Vellore Fort. It was built by the Government of Madras during the reign of the British. The church is the oldest one in this district and is currently under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India.
