Accomodation and Travelling:
For reaching this place, one can either take a shared taxi from Jammu to Srinagar and then from there to Pehalgam. Another way is to go to Srinagar and then take a hired taxi from there to Pehalgam. Buses also ply on this route, but they’re not recommended as the journey takes a long time and is quite uncomfortable.
For accommodation, there are many government owned guest houses and private hotels in the town. Some notable names include Hotel Fifth Season, Hotel Pahalgam and the JKTDC huts. All these places offer affordable lodging and the highest prices are observed during the peak season.
