BY TRAIN– KTM is the Malaysian railways, that operates from KL and other states to Southern Johor Bahru. You can take a train ride from Singapore – Woodlands for instance, and the drop off point is at Segamat, JB Sentral, Kluang, Kulai, Labis Johor. The train tickets price ranges from class to class.
BY BUS– The luxury buses are available from KL and other places. Singapore is directly linked with road and buses that are available from Woodland, Singapore. Just a causeway to cross and immigration check point to reach Johor Bahru. A second link connecting Malaysia and Singapore are being used by some elite bus services.
BY FERRY– Ferry service is available too from Singapore and Indonesia to ZON Ferry terminal in Johor Bahru. Zon is a duty free complex.
BEST TIME FOR JB–
The best time to visit Johor Bahru is between April and October, as November till February is the Monsoon time, although rain prone areas can be identified and the plan can be made accordingly in those months too.

Istana Bukit Serene
Located 7 km northwest of the Causeway, this green-roof, stone building is the official residence of the Sultan of Johor. The palace has a gigantic and expansive garden venue of many royal get-togethers and celebrations. It was built in 1933 in the Art Deco style. The exquisite carvings can be seen on the palace walls. The Istana is guarded by the personal military force of the Sultan of Johor.
SULTAN ABU BAKAR STATE MOSQUE
1.8km west of the Causeway, its Located on top of a small hill overlooking the Straits of Johor. It has four minarets that bear a resemblance to British clock towers. It is made of white marble and is a combination of Moorish and Victorian architecture. It can accommodate 2,000 worshipers at a time.
A white proud edifice standing tall is a palace built in 1866 by Sultan Abu Bakar. The most interesting part of the palace is its 53 -hectares well-groomed garden that’s open for all. The Royal Abu Bakar Museum located within the palace which was renovated to become a museum officially opened in 1990. It is a vibrant museum that boasts of a good collection of royal inheritance, rare artifacts and a well-kept historical facts of the state’s royal family.
At a distance of 15 km Pulai Falls are visually perfect flowing water in different hills steps through a naturally formed alley. Amongst the Gunung Pulai Recreational forest area, the falls and other forest area is one place to have a relaxing family outing.
JOHOR BAHRU CHINESE TEMPLE
Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple is famous as old Temple by the locals. It is a Chinese temple located in Jalan Trus area of Johor Bahru. The temple is surrounded by vertically tall skyscrapers. The130 years old temple has many old artifacts of bronze and brass to show.
Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru
Johor Bahru square is the main square of JB, this square has an imposing clock tower, thus making it an iconic landmark of the city after Dec 1993 when JB was declared a city.
Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple is a main Hindu temple in Johor Bahru. It is also one of the state’s tourist attraction, used extensively with the glass panels and cuttings its must for all to see.
